Apple Flowers

 Cut the apples in half and remove their cores, leaving the skin on.

Slice into 2mm slices.

Place in a bowl with 50ml of water and microwave for 3 mins (longer if necessary), till "bendy" - be careful, may be hot when they come out of microwave.
Roll out a pack of bought Puff Pastry.

Cut into strips 6 cms wide.

Put 2 dsp of jam in a microwavable dish with 1 dsp of water and microwave on full power for 1 min.  Stir mix until combined.

Brush jam mix onto one half of pastry.  Place apple slices in a line along the top half of the pasty, overlapping by almost half.  Dust with cinamon.


Fold bottom half of pastry over the apple slices and press down lightly.

Starting at one end roll each forming a rose shape and place in muffin tin.
Bake at 180 degrees for 30 mins.

Remove from oven and dust with icing sugar.

Allow to cool for 5 to 10 mins before serving with icecream or cream.
